Maine Cabin Masters, Reality TV Stars
For eight successful seasons, as the most-watched television show now on the Magnolia Network, the Maine Cabin Masters have entertained legions of loyal fans with their unique building style and family-focused humor. Continued growth in popularity, both nationwide and around the world, led to the creation and launch of a brick-and-mortar headquarters and retail store, a podcast (From the Woodshed), and super-cool bar and event venue (The Woodshed).
About the Maine Cabin Masters
Maine Cabin Masters is a reality television show airing on the Magnolia Network (formerly known as DIY Network) that chronicles the restoration and renovation of cabins across the state of Maine. The show centers on contractor Chase Morrill, his designer sister Ashley Morrill, and her carpenter husband Ryan Eldridge. Also featured in each episode are master carpenters, Matt "Dixie" Dix and Jared "Jedi" Baker. Maine Cabin Masters debuted on January 2, 2017 and as of October 2022 is still in production for future seasons.
Each episode begins with Chase (the boss) introducing Ashley (the designer) and Ryan (the voice of reason) to a new cabin—called "camps" in the state of Maine. Typically, the cabins have been in families for generations and are in poor shape and badly in need of renovation. A budget and deadline are set. The Cabin Masters then make every attempt to restore these structures, remaining true to their original function, but sometimes adding modern amenities like solar panels and composting toilets. At the end of the episode, the Cabin Masters "reveal" the renovated cabin to its owners and ceremoniously hand over its keys.
Kennebec Cabin Company
The doors to the Kennebec Cabin Company (KCC) retail store opened on February 1, 2020, just before the COVID-19 shutdown. Following a quick pivot to online sales, KCC was up and running. An estimated 100,000 fans have walked through the KCC doors, with the addition of our online store, the numbers continue to grow. Favorite items include anything with the Maine Cabin Masters logo and art and crafts made by local Maine and New England artists.
